DULLA Boots & Bag GINGER Sweater Dress

It's December! I had shot this look couple of weeks back but finally got the chance to post it. This being my first knee high boots I was very excited to style it. So I decided to go for a relaxed fit sweater dress in warm neutral tone that I bought last winter. I love the loose feel of the dress pairing it up with the rather chic looking knee high boots by Dulla. These boots are a great addition to my winter collection. It's suede, something I was always hesitant on wearing but it's actually very easy to maintain, " just use a clean brush or sponge and wipe it in one direction, Ahmed Dulla".

And my outfit for the night was a red trench that I had in my closet since ages... and never really got the chance to wear it out. Keeping the colour red in mind I choose all black for the rest of my outfit. Compliment the skinny structure of the trench, I opted for my favourite pair of palazzo to elongate my frame. Lastly, I paired a minimal black heels and navy clutch that comes with metal strap so that you can carry it over the shoulders.
I want to end this post by thanking Marcia for inviting us to her launch, we had a great evening

HIM & HER

On Sunday morning I headed to town with the ever amazing
Goku from closetofwords,
where we styled two outfits for the Valentines, a day to celebrate love and togetherness. Since none of the outfits are too strongly themed, you can wear them for plenty of other occasions too.
If you are planning a fancy dinner date or to kick back and party with your closet girlfriends, these looks might give you some ideas.

I slipped in a jersey dress with a well-cut cheeky slit on the side which adds—oomph to a rather basic dress. While a comfy pair of kicks can make the outfit look super relaxed. I found a duster coat in black and had already made up my mind for it but after a long debate with myself and keeping the theme in mind I decided to go for a beautiful satiny/salmon shade which elevated the entire look. But seriously, is this not the most perfect spring jacket? As the days are pretty warm to wear only a jacket, you can also layer with a cardigan underneath for the extra warmth because you should be comfy (yet cute!) while catching up at the cinemas.

I didn’t want my evening look to be a dress. So I ditched the idea of finding my perfect LBD and branched out to something suave. And what can be more sophisticated then the immensely flattering pair of palazzo.
Pair it with a black heels, to give you the illusion of longer legs.

I kept the rest of the look simple, because when do I ever do anything else. Throwing on a faux furry vest on to add a subtle glamour to the look. And a watch with red accents for the final touch.

STYLING OUTERWEAR

Hey guys! Since the weather has been fluctuating lately, I decided to try and style three types of outerwear!

For the first look I chose a coat that I was eyeing since ages. From the fit to the colour, you cannot go wrong with a practical winter purchase like this. Depending on your personal style this smart collarless coat can be worn in a lot of ways. It's a good length and fit that will stand the test of time but the best thing about it is the raw edge details at the seams. If you are lacking a good quality smart coat in your wardrobe than this is it.

Keeping the outerwear the focal point of the outfit I paired it with a subdued black turtleneck dress.

And for the second outfit I went the casual route styling this coat with my winter uniform and threw on a comfy pair of sneakers.

COAT & PANTS: TAXXI x KAYMU

This outerwear is so fluffy (couldn't stop stroking it the whole time) and certainly a standout item so I kept it clean and minimal by wearing the same dress from the first look.     COAT: TAXXI, KAYMU | DRESS: MANDOLIN

Different spin to a regular blazer. This knit is a classic and will definitely keep you warm in winters. You can also add a belt like the Parisian street style stars if it's a bit over sized. I styled it with wardrobe basics and a pair of chunky boots for a slight edge.
